Call for Artists! 6th Annual Art Market & Auction

Infinity Seeks Artists for 6th Annual Art Market and Auction

Infinity Visual and Performing Arts, Inc. is inviting local artists to participate in the 6th Annual Infinity Art Market and Auction.

Infinity’s Art Market and Auction is an annual event that supports area artists, by giving them a market to showcase and sell their arts, all while raising funds to support youth music and arts instruction at the Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Center.

The fundraiser, which is held at the Infinity Arts Café, will take place on Saturday, April 4, 2020 from 11am-4pm.

Infinity’s Art Market and Auction features an art market filled with locally crafted items to help showcase local artists, followed by an auction of locally crafted pieces to raise funds for programming at the Infinity Center! More than 20 artists participate each year, and the event continues to grow!

Online registration for interested artists can be found at: https://forms.gle/iMdo4BgZ5ym6tzXz5

Area artists who wish to participate in the art market should complete their registration forms before February 1, 2020

Infinity Joins #GivingTuesday Movement

Jamestown’s own Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Center has once again joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.

In 2019, Infinity celebrates 21 years of service to young people and families in the Chautauqua region, and is asking for your support in continuing their mission to provide music and arts education and performance opportunities to all students with a desire to participate.

Performing ensembles and workshops provide Infinity students with an opportunity to learn advanced music and arts techniques and practice soft-skills development in areas such as public speaking, teamwork, collaboration, and positive peer development.

This year’s #GivingTuesday initiative will raise funds to support ensembles, performance and showcasing opportunities, marketable skills training experiences, program and class supplies, and much more! Infinity’s goal is to raise $3,000 with the help of area supporters.

Occurring this year on December 3, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the US) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday to kick off the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.

Infinity joined #GivingTuesday to spark the spirit of giving in Chautauqua County. Last year’s initiative successfully raised $2,200 for group classes and supplies for Infinity students. This year, Infinity is hoping to raise $3,000 to support the 500+ students who attend lessons and classes at the Infinity Center throughout the 11 month program year. #GivingTuesday will kick off the campaign, and donations to this project will be accepted until December 31. All donations are tax-deductible!

Those who are interested in supporting Infinity’s #GivingTuesday initiative can visit www.infinityperformingarts.org or Infinity’s Facebook page to make a secure online donation. Donations may also be mailed to Infinity at 301 East 2nd Street, Lynn Building Suite 101, Jamestown, NY 14701.

CRCF and Infinity Present Learning Carnival Open House

Chautauqua Region Community Foundation and Infinity Center present Learning Carnival Open House

Providing quality instruction and mentoring opportunities to young people in music and the arts has been Infinity’s mission since 1998. This mission has been accomplished over the last 21 years thanks to strong support from the community, as well as a drive to continually evolve and meet the needs of the Chautauqua County community.

Thanks to a grant award from the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, Infinity is now offering an opportunity to experience hands-on learning experiences at the Infinity Center! All are invited to join the fun at Infinity’s Learning Carnival and Open House event, on Saturday, October 19, 2019. This event will take place at the Infinity Center in downtown Jamestown (301 East Second Street Lynn Building, Suite 101, Jamestown, NY  14701) from 10am-1pm and will feature demo classes, facility tours, a photo booth, games, prizes and more.

Grants and Marketing Coordinator, Stephanie Rogers, says, “This annual event, in partnership with CRCF, has become a day that we really look forward to hosting! It gives the community an opportunity to visit the Infinity Center and really see what the “Infinity Experience” is all about. We are grateful to Chautauqua Region Community Foundation for helping us make this ‘glimpse into Infinity’ possible for so many of our community members. It’s truly a day to explore and experience all that we have to offer in a fun and engaging way.”

Shane Hawkins, Infinity’s Executive Director, adds, “Many are surprised when they take a tour of the Infinity Center! We maintain a 14,100 square foot footprint packed full of learning and performance space for our students. Nearly 14,000 private lessons happened under this roof last year and we hosted more than 50 events. I love seeing kids experience Infinity for the first time! We invite everyone to stop in on October 19 and see this wonderful creative space for themselves.”

For more information please call the Infinity Center at 716.664.0991. Infinity will also be hosting a New Student Orientation on Thursday, October 17, 2019 for students interested in learning more about Infinity or signing up for lessons.
