Infinity’s Lexy Hughan Memorial Fund
On December 31, 2021, our Infinity family and entire community was shocked and heartbroken by the tragic loss of 15 year old Alexis Hughan.
Lexy was well-known to many and was an Infinity student for 12 years. She participated in everything we had to offer. Music, Dance, Theater, Art – Lexy did it all.
Her Mom (Infinity Site Coordinator and Instructor Sara Rafaloski) and Dad (Jeff Hughan) supported her creative exploration and always attended all of her performances.
Lexy’s loss is still felt every day. Continuing to share her life, her name, and create programming that she would have enjoyed seeing kids have available is important to our Infinity Family, and Lexy’s family. After the tragedy, we held a raffle fundraiser and used the proceeds to create a special “Lexy Hughan Memorial Fund” at the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation.
The goal of the fund is to provide special group classes and workshops every year for Infinity students; something positive to come out of something so painful. The classes will be designed with Sara’s input.
Our initial fundraiser raised more than $11,000 which was used to start the Lexy Hughan Memorial Fund at Chautauqua Region Community Foundation. Donations can be made at any time, directly to CRCF or through Infinity.
Thank you for your support.
