Laura Becker

Laura Becker is a multi-talented artist from Akron, Ohio. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre with a concentration in Non-Profit Arts Administration from Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio. She spent a semester in York, England at York St. John University learning devised theatre techniques and creating a one-woman show called Anything is Possible. She is also a graduate of the esteemed Martell School of Dance in Akron, and is experienced in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and modern dance.
Laura began writing songs at the age of 5 and is a firm believer that no one is too young or too old to begin an artistic journey. She is in the process of recording her first album after spending two years in Woodstock, New York playing and developing her original music as a singer-songwriter. Laura loves to learn new things and is an active roller skater and student of yoga in her free time. Her teaching approach is intuitive and improvisation based as she strives to create a fun and flexible atmosphere for students to explore and develop leadership, confidence, and agency.
