Brittany Baglia grew up in Chautauqua County and began her music studies in Jamestown. She studied
Mercyhurst University, The University of Oklahoma, and completed her master’s degree in violin
performance at Youngstown State University. Throughout her years of study and in the time since she
has been an active ensemble and solo performer, especially valuing the collaborative experience of
working in orchestras and opera companies. Miss Baglia began teaching private lessons in 2004 and
has maintained an active studio since that time teaching violin and viola. She is a certified Suzuki
instructor, and also teaches with various traditional methods, including classical and folk/fiddling
styles. Her aim is to provide tailored instruction for the needs of each individual student at every age
and level by presenting practical learning strategies that will inspire confidence and creativity in
students both during the lesson and in their individual practice work. She encourages students to foster
an experimental approach in pursuing artistic self expression and communication.
