Alejandro Lantigua was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to Jamestown, New York as a child. This city quickly became home, and it’s where he grew up, built a life, and continues to give back to the community that helped shape him.
He graduated from Jamestown High School and has dedicated nearly two decades of his life to working with youth and families in this area. For the past 19 years, he’s been proud to serve as part of the Jamestown YMCA team. Currently, Alejandro is the After School Program Director at Ring Elementary School, where he helps create a positive, enriching environment for students every day.
Working with kids isn’t just a job for Alejandro—it’s a calling. He’s passionate about helping young people grow, supporting their development, and making sure they feel seen, heard, and valued. Being involved in the community, building relationships, and making a positive impact are what drives him.
In addition to his work with youth, Alejandro is also a DJ. Music has always been a big part of his life, and DJing gives him a creative outlet that he truly loves. Whether it’s setting the vibe at a local event or hyping up a crowd, there’s nothing like the energy music brings to people. It’s another way to stay connected to the community and bring people together.
Outside of work, Alejandro a proud husband and father of three amazing children who inspire him daily. They remind him of the importance of nurturing future generations and staying grounded in love, patience, and purpose.
