JUNE UPDATE

6/4/2020

Dear Parents and Students,

It’s June and we are nearing our 12th week of shutdown. With all of the current sadness and turmoil in the country, and the continued situation of COVID-19’s impact worldwide, we are so thankful for the resilience, positivity, and dedicated efforts of our students and the Infinity team.

Thousands of digital lessons have happened, group classes have been revived online, instructors have created dozens of video tutorials for their students and our community, students are performing live on Facebook every week, and our online art gallery is filling up.

Students should reach out to their instructor if they are interested in participating in a live performance event, submitting a pre-recorded performance video for one of our events, or submitting art work for the online gallery. Contact Infinity program staff for more info about Group Class options, or if you had taken a break from lessons and would like to start back up again!

Digital lessons are going strong, but in-person lessons are still on hold during the month of June as we continue to watch and learn about the best ways to safely navigate the COVID situation. Although summer programing has been approved by NYS, Infinity will not have Summer Camps in July. We have not yet made a final decision about August Camps.

We are spending time in June deep cleaning and re-organizing the Infinity Center, and are hopeful for a July soft re-opening for select lessons. Re-opening will be decided based on CDC, NYS, and Chautauqua County guidelines. Digital/remote lessons will continue to be an option for students and families for the foreseeable future. Stay tuned later this month for a questionnaire to determine interest in resuming onsite lessons.

If you have a young artist in your home (age 18 and under) we would love to showcase them on Infinite Artistry! Please Note: While the young artist does need to be an Infinity Student, they are not required to be taking an art class at Infinity to share their art!

We are working hard, our full team of program staff and instructors continue to work remotely. You can help SUPPORT Infinity through this tough year by participating in the local #GiveBigCHQ fundraising event with a donation or by sharing the event on your social media! Infinity #GiveBigCHQ
