On Friday, October 23, 2015 the Infinity Jazz Concert Series will feature An Evening Of Traditional Jazz with Razzers’ Jazzers at 7:00 p.m in the Infinity Cafe. The concert is sponsored by generous support of the Chautauqua Community Foundation.
Featured jazz artist is clarinetist, Razz Rasmusson, widely known in WNY for his work with many different bands, including performances in Pennsylvania with Southern Fried Dixie Jazz, Bemus Point with the Andy Travis and Dick Ingraham Dixie on the Deck Band, and at Chautauqua Institution with trombonist, Pete Pepke and several national players from Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Vegas.
Razzers’ Jazzers is made up of several area Dixie experts, who have performed all over WNY including trumpet by John Wilder, well-known for his work with Art Cooney’s Dixie Banjo Band, trombone by Tim Stockman-multi instrumentalist with many area bands, sax with Dave Golando and host, John Cross. Bassist is Lloyd Howard, bass player with almost every swing and jazz group from Olean to Erie, most recently with Razz and Friends, drummer is Craig Ridgway, drummer with many area groups, most recently with the JCC Big Band. Keyboard player is Frank Farina, well known for his playing at the Red Coach, Village Squire, Ironstone, Wallace-Farina Band, and Razz and Friends.
The concert is free and open to the public. Audience members can enter by using the former USPS door on the corner of 3rd Street.
