On Friday, August 28, 2015 the Infinity Jazz Concert Series at 302 East 3rd Street in Jamestown, NY will feature An Evening of Jazz with the Jon Wilder Quartet, at 7:00 pm.
The evening will feature trumpeter, Jon Wilder. Raised on a farm near Cattaraugus, NY, Mr. Wilder attended Clarion University in PA where he received a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and Fredonia State University College where he received a Master of Music in Education. He also attended Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore as well as the University of Buffalo. Having taught public school for thirty-four years, Mr. Wilder retired in 2013 and moved back to the farm on which he was raised where he resides with his wife, Crystal and daughter, Isabella along with a barn full of alpacas and Foxy the Llama.
The Jon Wilder Quartet will feature Harry Jacobson on bass, Bob Hull on piano and host, John Cross on woodwinds. Classic standard jazz repertoire will be performed including Fly Me To The Moon, Satin Doll, Stardust, Bye Bye Blackbird, Just Friends, Four, There Will Never Be Another You and Cheek to Cheek.
