Jazz At Infinity- DTO

On Friday, May 22, 2015 the Infinity Jazz Concert Series at 300 East 3rd Street in Jamestown, NY will feature An Evening with DTO at 7:00 pm.

The evening will feature the alternative jazz/rock group, DTO, performing popular tunes ranging from the 1960s to current favorites.

The band consists of Roger Chagnon III on guitar, bass, and harmonica; Jon Muck on drums and assorted percussion, and Chris Tiberio on bass, guitar, and ukulele. All three band members also sing throughout the show.

DTO was formed in 2008 as a duo by Roger Chagnon III and Jonathan Muck. Their first performance was as the opening act for the immensely popular Buffalo-based group Strictly Hip, followed by a run of local gigs as a duo. Guitar/bass virtuoso Chris Tiberio joined the group in the summer of 2010 which opened the doors for DTO to really expand their already broad catalog of songs, with Chagnon and Tiberio alternating between acoustic, electric and bass guitar.

2011 through 2014 were busy years for DTO, playing many local live music establishments as well as a headlining gig at the Buckin’ Buffalo Saloon near the Chippewa entertainment district in downtown Buffalo and Molly Brannigan’s Irish Pub in Pittsburgh, PA.

Opening for the concert will be a group from the Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Center.

Area saxophonist, John Cross, will host the event and join DTO on some of their songs including Sledgehammer (Peter Gabriel), Ants Marching (Dave Matthews Band), Superstition (Stevie Wonder), Come Together (Beatles), Ain’t No Sunshine (Bill Withers), Send Me On My Way (Rusted Root), Stairway to Bossa (a jazzy version of Stairway To Heaven) and You Can Call Me Al (Paul Simon).

The concert is free and open to the public due to the support and generosity of the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation. Donations will be accepted at the concert to help continue the jazz series throughout the year. Attendees can gain access to the Infinity Café by entering the former USPS door on the corner of 3rd Street.

Please join us for a great evening of popular music performed with unique twists and turns that will leave you smiling and humming along.
