Jazz at Infinity

Posted on March 26, 2015 by Stephanie

On Friday, March 27, 2015 the Infinity Jazz Concert Series will feature An Evening Of Jazz with the Marla Harris Band, at 7:00 pm.

The evening will feature the Marla Harris Band performing jazz, funk, rhythm and blues as well as some original vocal compositions.

Chautauqua Lake Idol winner, Marla Harris will be accompanied by Steve Davis at the keyboard, Cody Anderson on trumpet, Jed Thomson on guitar, and Jim Sturdevant on drums.  Marla Harris tells of her relationship to her band.

“We’ve become a family and love to make music together. We appreciate each others’ talents and encourage each other to become better musicians. Writing original music is key to moving forward. We all have a lot of ideas, similar tastes and the desire to create our own sound” says Harris. “I am just extremely blessed to know these guys! It’s always a good time with them and I’m amazed at the level of talent these guys bring to every performance. They start to play and I’m immediately in my happy place.”
Opening for the concert will be Mark Alpaugh’s Infinity Jazz Quartet performing jazz standards that will feature host and saxophonist, John Cross.

The concert is free and open to the public.  Attendees can gain access to the Infinity Café by entering the former USPS door on the corner of 3rd Street.

Please join us and invite a friend for a great evening of music for jazz enthusiasts!
