Hvile I Kaos (Norwegian for “Rest In Chaos”) was originally a cello-driven melodic black metal project. It was founded in June 2011 by classically trained yet metal-obsessed cellist Kakophonix (real name Chris Edward Brown.) Most recently, in 2014, Hvile I Kaos has ceased to be strictly a cello ensemble with the addition of Cody Hiller on violin (son of Infinity instructor, Jolene Hiller), Will Otto on Acoustic Guitar, and Ralph Holtzhauser on keyboards/synthesizer.
